Today My Victory Plan was to take the off! You see I went to the Salinas Air Show with friends, and knew nutrition was not in the front of my mind! So what was I thinking?
Jet engines! Screaming across the sky! Planes falling from the sky, just to pull out and straight up to spiral back to earth again! The Blue Angels were there ripping across the Salinas Valley. Playing "chicken" two on two.
The Canadian Snow Birds were there. What teamwork! 9 super sonic jets huging one another so tight in formation you could hardly see any air space between them!
Then there were my two personal favorite acrobatic pilots - Shawn Tucker and Bill Stein. Google those guys! Ther Victory Plan is to do what no one else has ever done in the sky - and live through it! (The pic above is Bill in a spinning fall - flipping the plane prop over tail.)
Yes, I indulged in a local favorite of the Monterey Bay here - fried calamari! And a couple libations to wash it down. So, My Victory Plan will start again tomorrow.
Here's the good news - though today is important, if you don't accomplish what you want - start again tomorrow. When I get frustrated I look at the sign posted in my office:
"It doesn't matter where I am today because I am taking action to get me to where I want o be tomorrow."
Not sure who deserves the credit for it - but it sure keeps me targeted.
